Still is a personal project and contemporary plant and lifestyle magazine designed for people living in small spaces. Created for Millennials and Gen Z renters and apartment dwellers, the magazine reframes gardening as a calm, everyday practice rather than a skill-heavy or space-dependent hobby. It encourages readers to slow down, care for living things, and find small moments of calm through approachable, low-pressure plant care and styling.

Inspired by my love of plants and interior design, this project became an opportunity to explore how editorial design can influence the way people experience content. I wanted the magazine to feel calm, welcoming, and unhurried, reflecting the quiet routines and mindful lifestyle it promotes.
The visual direction is rooted in interior-inspired editorial design, blending structured layouts with the softness of lifestyle publications. Open compositions, generous white space, and a three-column baseline grid create a slower, more considered reading experience, while a serif and sans serif type pairing balances timelessness with a contemporary feel. Sourced photography featuring soft grain and muted lighting adds warmth and familiarity, while a restrained palette of soft blues, light and dark greens, and maroon reinforces themes of calm, growth, and slow living throughout the magazine.
